Looking for a used 24" PC/T5 light for a fuge.

I have turned a 20 gallon tank into a remote DSB and 'fuge - now I need to increase lighting.

Anyone have a 24" light fixture like the Coralife/Jebo/Finnex fixtures for sale/trade? I am looking for the complete unit, not a retrofit.

I can trade frags of SPS, Zoos and softies or cash.

I just bought a 36" T5 fixture (Nova Extreme) from Drs. Foster&Smith. Best price for a T5 fixture that I was able to find.

24in fixtures are pricey. i think the finnex doesnt have the individual reflectors.

i saw a 2x24in retro in the FS forum for $75 in the last 20 days. i know you said no retros.

I probably should have stated this earlier, I am just looking for a "cheap" light for a refugium. I have one of those "daylight" bulbs in a desk lamp for now, but I don't like the way it looks and I am not sure it is enough light for the macro to grow.

Should a 23 watt "daylight" bulb from Menards be enough to grow Cheato with? If so, I guess I really don't need another light.

or a coralife 24" 2x65w hood for $100

Have you thought about using the daylight powercompacts from walmart that fit in a standard bulb base? One of them might do the job, two almost certainly would and they are only about 7 bucks each. I guess that might mean a bit of retrofitting though.

Just a thought.
