Looking for a used - or worthless - 29g

Anyone have a used - or otherwise next to worthless - 29g they'd part with for a pittance?

I'm planning on drilling my 29g reef, and need something to practice on. This is ESSENTIAL because I'm planning on doing the drilling on my DT with everything in it. So breaking the glass would BAD. So I'd really like to practice quite a few times first.

If no one nearby has a 29g that they want to part with cheap, I'll just go buy one. Needless to say, I'm not looking for anything in good condition. Heck, it doesn't even need to be able to hold water.

Lotta looks but no offers. Worked out well though...

I pulled out an old little 2.5 gallon tank and practiced on that. I gather drilling thin glass is harder than thick glass, so it seemed like good practice.

Must have been ok, 'cuz I drilled my 29g tonight - with water and livestock in it Now I've finally gotten rid of that aweful external overfrow and siphon-losing U-tube. IMO that was my one major newbie mistake.

An improvement long overdue.

How on earth did you move or drill behind your tank?!?! I don't remember you having a secret room behind it, or do you?

I drilled the side Georgi. But even still I had to drain the tank, drain the sump, and slide the whole thing away from the wall. I did that weeks ago actually. I'm doing a BUNCH of work on it. This is just one thing.

So obviously with the tank and stand pulled out of its corner the drilling was easy.

Yeah... drilled is the only way to go. I just never intended to keep this little tank so long, so I compromised when I set it up. Live and learn.
