I have a 200 gal with my sump inside my stand. What I'm looking to do is plumb everything into my basement . I'm going to use (2) 90 gal sumps twined together. This will have my return pump, skimmer, and ca reactor inside the new sumps. Right now I have an iwaki md-100rlt,which is good for 2000gpm. According to the pump curve with 15' of head it'll go down to 1500gpm which should be 7.5 turnover not including the new sumps. Will this be enough turnover? The other problem is I only have 3/4" return lines. I was planning on running (1) 1" return (splitting them to (2) 3/4" ret)and (1) 2" ( splitting them to (2) 1 1/2") supply from the basement to the tank. Any piping issues with this? There will be minimal elbows since it'll be a straight shot below.
I'm thinking about having a small fragging area inside one of the sumps. I'm also debating on having a section of miracle mud combined with cheato as well. I have toyed with the notion of a cryptic live rock holding area but that might be further down the line. Any other ideas for biological filtration?
I'm looking for any ideas or recommendations with the build, thx.
