Looking for an anemone that I can..

there are not many low light anemones. bubble tip anemones need about 4 to 6 watts per gallon same with long tentacals. the rest are 6 to 8 watts per gallon.

Well I have a 210gal. So your talking 1200 to 1800 watts of light? Do these have to be on all the time? I'm using regular CF lights. Don't they give enough wattage output.

are those the only units on the tank or do you have other units on there. the two together have 312 watts thats not enough.

they are T5 HO 4x39W

I have 2 of these units on the tank.

Do they have individual reflectors?

If you have live rock stacked near the top, a bubble tip will find the spot it wants. The watts per gallon rule of thumb would only apply if you are trying to illuminate the bottom of the tank with a certain level of light. I have had bubble tips under PC lights, T5s, and MHs. They always find the spot that they like and then stay there if you feed them.

I do have LR stacked high. How long would I need to leave to the lights on for per day?

What is meant by "individual reflectors"?

thanks

I'd say you could happily keep Aipstasia. Doesn't require any light at all really! Spreads fast and before you know it you can have a species tank :P

:D

That's funny. Because those thing will just be an infestation in the tank. WOW, just to funny. You guys must just be the funniest people on this board.

By the way the light use 1 big reflector for the 4 lights in each unit.

It wasn't meant to be that funny. Anyway, if all you'll have in the tank are fish and live rock, mojano anemones would actually look decent. You'll have trouble keeping an anemone with just that much light.

Sorry. It's just I spent 3 weeks killing off Aipstasia. I thought it looked nice when I got the Lr, but then it was everywhere. Also I read that Mojano make a mess also.

For a pest anemone, the majano actually looks pretty good. Some are neon green with neon orange. If I was going to set up a FOWLR tank, I would probably add a few majanos as long as I wasn't going to set it up as a reef tank in the future.

I would never introduce majano's to a tank, even if there are no corals they will still sting any fish that get too close to them and if they begin to dominate the tank then fish will be pretty stressed out
