Looking for berghia nudibranch

Is there a place near Irvine where I can get the berghia nudibranch?

It seems like I lost the battle as I'm seeing aiptasia babies sprouting after a kalkwasser attack

I had about 40-50 in my tank before I bought some Joe's Juice - wiped em' all out in about a month...two or three still around but I zapp em' when I can.

Let me know if you find some john!

+1 Let me know too! I know a couple people that could use one besides myself. Possible group buy? Worst case, we can save on shipping... I can pick up from your house. Let me know!

It won't harm em' if you don't apply it to anything but the aptasia.

I forget exactly what it is, but you can just buy the chemical as well if you want to save some money, it comes with a small syringe applicator - just turn off all powerheads in the tank and put it on, it sticks to the aptasia so you can turn em' right back on.

I've had a little bit fall onto ric's before and nothing happened. You just can't over apply it - kills the aptasia in like 30 minutes.

They make some through Red Sea called Aptasia Control or somthing that's cheaper, too.

Only problem with those methods is that you can't get the ones you don't see. Plus sometimes it can actually just make them spread more.

There's someone on another site (I believe in another state) that sells them and apparantly they are breeding like crazy. Never tried it because peppermint shrimp and chemicals works for me.

Funny you posted this. I was just talking to nguyenmi about doing a group buy.

He said he knows someone on Reef2Reef that has em for $10 each.

I'm in if you guys do a group buy.

I bought them form Instar in Texas via mail. I bought seven (two three packs + 1 bonus). I have a 225 gallon display. There may have been 100 randon aiptasia around and some were quite large. This was not enough berghia to make a dent is the aiptasia, but berghia are prolific breeders, and I am patient. I have never seen even a single one since I let them loose in my tank.

There was no effect for about six months, and them I guess the hidden berghia reached critical mass and the aiptasia noticably started disappearing over the course of 4-6 weeks. There are none left. I assume the berghia are now starving themselves out of existence.

Just one guy's experience.

I wouldn't mind starting a Group Buy... I need to get these things under control and the last two peppermints I threw in were a quick lunch for my trigger.

Somebody tell me the best place to buy.

BTW John, No sixlines will not eat them... only fish that eat them to my knowledge are copperbanded butterflies and I think I heard the Kline's butterfly might nip at them as well...

When I try to go to the product page on Reefcollection it says they are not available at this time. But if I just add them to my cart, they go it my cart. I just e-mailed to see if they are in fact in stock and what the best quantity discount they can offer. I will keep updated but as of right now it looks like we can order 10 for $120.00 plus whatever shipping is... it does say until you get all the way through..
