Have two 90s right now, and want to condense a little so looking for a 180 gallon+. Let me know if you have anything in good condition sitting around or looking to get out. I would be willing to trade as well.

Thanks!
Ted

Sorry, don't mean to hijack thread but I was thinking of upgrading my 75 to a 90.... Want some more real estate without having to invest in a new stand, canopy, etc etc..... Do you guys think it's worth it or should I plan on going bigger and buying everything again?

There isn't much of a difference between a 75 and a 90, IMO. I did that upgrade solely because the 90 was drilled, otherwise I never would have.

The differences between a 75 and 90 is only 3 inches of height if you're talking about a standard size tank. 6 inches would add another 12 or so gallons.

if you have room for 6' prolly 180 (2x2x6), 5' 150, 4' 120. How much space you have? tank is cheapest part. When you go from 4' to 6 ' added lights prolly biggest expense. I have had 10 gal to 240 gal, loved certain things about each but my 240 was easiest to keep due to volume. Currently 120 cause of space

Another thing is the stand, when the wife says she wants you to strip the white paint off a 6ft stand and hood and stain it. The last week every night, I have been in the garage to 12-1 am stripping paint.

Skimmer annd return pump as well will cost you.

I just finished stripping rustolium paint off a 6ft stand and hood. I feel for you! It took me 2 weeks from start to finish. My process is in my build thread. Acrylic 220 build. Its a few posts down. I used paint stripper, a belt sander, and a orbital sander

That paint stripper is no joke, burns your skin bad. I bought heavy duty latex gloves from HD. Burned through them in a couple of seconds. So now I use those plus another pair under them. :D

With the patience I have, I would have ended up using a match and a can of lighter fluid after about the first hour!! :angryfire:

I went from Gainesville to Orlando to get my 5' Oceanic 156. It has a beautiful stand and canopy. Fits my space perfectly. Well worth the trip.
