Looking for Cheato

I just got my lights in for the refugium tank and I need some Cheato. Does anyone have some they need to get rid of.

Bah, you are a week late! I usually harvest a large ball every month and I just threw out a big ball of it.

Yea I guess im right around the corner from ya. Dang I wish I would of known I would of come and got it and just put it in the fuge until my light got here.

Couple weeks and I should have a nice sized ball for you (size of two softballs) if you go that long without finding any.

Honestly I cut it back a little too much this last time but it grows pretty fast.

I can get you some if you'd like. I don't usually prune it, I just keep it in check with some caulerpa(I guess it outcompetes chaeto), but I could get you some of each, or just one or the other. Free or for a trade for a small frag of something...just come pick it up.

It wouldn't be a whole bunch like cham, but it would be a nice starter ball...

Are you going to be around this weekend cschweitzer. This is a busy week with all the UFC fights and truck pulls at Jesse Blacks. Im busy, but if your going to be around this weekend or at SITC I would like to get some to hold me over until cham's is ready. I dont really have anything to frag unless you want some kenya trees. lol I will give you some money if you want.

Kewl I will get with ya. I ordered that light that was on Melves web site that he praised. So I hope it works.

I just use a regular strip light, keep it on 24 hrs a day(most growth occurs during night cycle, so this keeps it somewhat controlled also), and everything does fine.

I've been using that bulb for a year now. Seems to work great. Hard to compare cheato growth but it seems good to me. It stinks you can only get it online, so I bought two when I ordered.

Thanks again Tricky for the Cheato. Its seems to be doing really good. I sent you a pm also
