Theers a store down there in Lake worth on dixie, I think its just north of tenth somewhere, maybe dixie and 13th IIRC. I havente been ther in awhile. The owner seemed pretty confident he could get just about anything when i spoke with him, you may give them a shot. good luck

not sure about the species but I have caught them frequently down in the Keys and also near peanut island in West Palm beach. They were pretty small octopuses. Keep in mind I have caught them for fun but not put them in any tanks.

What tank size would you suggest keeping one of these in, i am interested and am thinking about starting a species tank....

I have been told the dwarf only gets about 6" from tip to tip. 24g nano will work fine. they are very nocturnal though. I will look around peanut island. any idea what time and where to look is best? Thanks!

Well you cant really goto peanut island and collect. And yes the dwarf stays that small. Something I have read tho, not sure on the accuracy, ~~ even in nature they do not have a very long life span from what I have read. Something like 290 days or something. Make sure the nano is sealed very very well. These guys are masters at escaping. 100x worse than eels getting out.

The octopus is the most intellegent invertebrate

and where can we legally go and collect them, if nto peanut island?

I was near peanut island on sat. under the bridge. some guys there said you have to come at night to catch them. There was so much sealife when I was snorkeling there. The blue spotted rays were creeping me out. Does anyone know what my predetors would be around that area. Don't want to encounter the wrong thing and get hurt. Thanks!

If you happen to be down there and or catch one in a net while fishing for something else, i would trade you a nice coral or cash for one, i would LOVE one :)

yeah I gotta figure out the best way to get one. I am alittle scared to go in the water at night. some of the daytime creatures creeped me out. and Not being able to see don't sound good. I might just try a cast net. what do you think?
