Looking for emergency backup help during trip

Hi all,

Sarah and I will be doing a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Thailand and Cambodia for about two weeks starting next week through Feb 6th. A couple of my graduate students will be staying at the house, feeding the dog and the fish, etc. Both of these students have taken care of my tank and solved minor issues with help from me over the phone before - they actually know my system relatively well. But I'm still a little nervous because this trip I may be a bit harder (or, some days even impossible) to reach.

I'm wondering if any ETRC'ers would be willing to let me give my students their phone number to call if there's some kind of major tank emergency they can't solve on their own and they can't get ahold of me. The chances of them needing this kind of help are really small, but it would help me relax more on our trip knowing that one or more of the experienced hands around here were available to help try to make the right critical decisions if something disasterous were to happen. I don't think there's any need for me to go over my system with whoever volunteers - it's not that unusual, and several of you have seen it already anyway.

If you're willing, PM me with your contact information. And thank you!

Sarah and I got our SCUBA ratings here in Knoxville just for this trip, and I've got an underwater housing for my camera, so I'll plan on posting some shots of the reefs in Thailand when I get back.

Thanks,
Jeff (vol_reefer)

Jeff:

Up again late. I almost had you beat; went to bed at 2:30. I'm game, and you already have my contact info.

Thanks guys - much appreciated. I'll make up a little contact sheet with all four names/numbers - that way someone is sure to be around if/when something happens.

I'll be happy to return the favor if needed in the future.

Jeff
