Check with Dan at Waters of the World in Evansville. He may know of a local group in Southern IN area.

I'm up in Petersburg and zoakeeper is in Washington. we've been looking for others as well . it would be nice if we could get everyone online so we could start a southern Indiana group. i know there has to be more than three of us.

Char3--thanx, help me round some more people up and I'll talk to Dan at Waters of the World sometime this week to see if he knows anyone that is interested as well.

I just moved to Bloomington In - guess im just couple hours way from evansville. Was looking for hobbiest also.

I live in Evansville, IN. I; however, I make 90% of my livestock purchases from Keith at Creative Aquatics in Owensboro, KY. If you want to pay $70 for a puney frag than Dan at Waters of the World is your man! He does carry PE mysis though, so that is a plus. The store looks nice, but his prices are a little much for me!

Hi all,
I live in Harrisburg IL (Southern Illinois), I go to Evansville every Wed. afternoon. I always stop by Waters of the World & buy my RO/DI water there. I just ask Dan about a area Group and he said that there wasn't one. Also that some others had ask him, but everyone wants one but no one wants to start it or be in charge of it. Everyone wants Dan to start it, but he is so busy with his store & outside clients that he doesn't have time for it.

I'm thinking of joining Saint Louis Area Saltwater Hobbyists (SLASH), but would like to see a Southern Indiana or Southern Illinois group.

Hi

I will be moving into the area soon, Rockport/Santa Claus. I would be very interested in joining once I get my tanks moved.

A little out of the way, but there are a few good places in Louisville/Southern Indiana. Green Tree Pet Center, Sandy's Pet Shop, Aquatica, Exotic Marine and Pets. Don't forget http://www.LMAS.org <- Louisville Marine Aquatic Society.

I'm from west side Evansville. I'm fairly new to the world of SW reefs. I've been running my 75gal reef since april. I find it to be a lot more interesting the the FW stuff I was doing before. I go to Waters of the World all the time. I agree, some of their prices are a bit high, but Dan's a real cool guy. Anyone know where I can get some cheap live rock around here? I'm not about to pay the $9 per pound he wants for it. haha

Your best bet is to take a trip up to Premium Aquatics in Indy, or order it from them and have it shipped. Items shipped UPS ground from Indy usually arrive in Evansville in one day. Premium will not guarantee that it will arrive in one day of course, so it might be a good idea to go ahead and pay or next day air shipping anyway. Even after paying for the shipping cost or gas to take a trip up there, you'll still be saving big money and getting better rock than whats for sale around here.
