Looking for help picking out a coral.

Here is my current aquascape. I would like something to go in the circled area. Lighting is a hydra 26 hd. I should mention that I am semi novice when it comes to corals.

I'm open to all suggestions. Thank you

An easier sps such as Montipora digitata. Available in a variety of colors. Will provide a different form factor - sticks - compared with the usual round skirted lps polyp.

Are there any special care factor over what I'm doing now for the corals I have?

rpc07, since you're already caring for hard / stony corals (lps), you should already be monitoring your alk, ca and mag. M. digitata water requirements are similar. That location would also be one of the brighter locations in your tank par wise, which would be appropriate.

Plus if it does well, you could try other form factors that Montipora exist in - encrusting and plating.

I agree with Nick92515's statements.

Appreciate the help. I do monitor cal, alk and mag. I will look into montipora's.

Appreciate the help

I think a big fluffy Goniopora is beautiful, but not great for someone who's still testing the water with corals. Also I feel like they look more at home near the bottom of the rocks/by the sand bed rather than at the peak of the aquascape. 😉

A nice montipora would open up the door for future sps coral so that was a good suggestion given. You can always attach something as well to compliment it like some nice zoas or mushrooms.
