My montis just outgrew my 18g all in one, so i moved everything to a 40 g breeder a couple weeks ago. I was very happy with my sps success in the smaller tank and hope to continue that in a slightly larger tank.
Ive had many reef tanks over the year so I know the basics, I just looking for opinions and suggestions to make my success easier.
I moved every thing over, added some additional rock my brother gave me snd added a few things.
Right now my equipment list is:
X2 kessil 160s
X1 mp10qd for flow
X1 Jebao rw4 for flow
X1 Tunze in tank filter (for media and surface cleaning)
AC 3 controller
Dosers dosing c-balance 2 part
Tunze osmolator ATO
Heater controlled by the AC3.
i just ordered a 3rd kessil, but the 360 so I can have a nicr highlight spot for my acros. I monitor Alk every couple days to keep it constant.
Livestock:
Pair of clowns
2 emerald crabs
11 snails
Couple LPS
Couple ricordea florida
Various montis
Birds nest
Stylo
some acros
Green toadstool
And 2 leathers
Staying skimmerless since I have a small bioload.
Questions:
Should I add more flow?
Will the leathers cause issues down the line and Should i get rid of them?
Also anything else I am missing that could make my life easier?
