looking for LFS in Hialeah?

Years ago there use to be a marine fish wholesaler that was open to the public on weekends only. They were located in Hialeah in some warehouses off of 122st or 103st (cant remember). Does anyone know if they are still open or did they close down??

I remember that place. They had great stuff. They where 1-2 blocks north of the hospital, and prob 1 block east of the hospitals perimeter road. Dont know if they still exist. I got out of hobby for a few years.

Yup, thats the same thing that happened to me. Just jumped back in to the hobby and cant believe how much things have changed in 4 years. Im having to relearn everything!!!! Even my favorite LFS moved to West Palm (Marine Scenes)

They were off of West 74 street and about 22 avenue. They are no longer there.

I've heard of that place where former police officers used to get free critters.LOl j/k

fishsmart W 4th(57ave Red Road) ave 1/2 mile south of the Gratigny pkwy, there is also 1 east of westland mall across the street where i think there is a publix. (i dont know what ave that is)

Unfortunately there isn’t much in Hialeah when LFS’s are concerned. You’re best bet would be to track over to broward when you have a few hours to shop around. When I was in the hobby about 10 years ago I remember very well that warehouse you speak of. They had EVERYTHING you could think off for salt and fresh. Too bad they’re no longer there.

Fireman- I hear what your saying...refugium, T5's, PC, what the heck?? but you also see much more success with algae free tanks. The hair algae monster was always after me.

BTW- according to the FMAS LFS locator on this forum, Marine scenes s still back there behind Bird road. Have not checked though.
