Looking for LFS in Wilmington, NC

Hello,

Moving to Wilmington NC this weekend. Wondering if there are any good saltwater stores in the area (good thing to know for the move, just in case).

Take Highway 40 North!
I see many trips to Aquatica, Down Under and Fish World in your future. Stay out of "Turdville" (Jacksonville).

You're sporting the Seahawk logo and your ID says you live in Wilmington, but you don't? Anyway, when I lived there there was a place on Wrightsville Ave. and another across from "The Nature of Things" (full line pet store).

Of course I went to school there (89-95), and if I was there any longer I would have recieved tenure.

Yeah, I'm moving this weekend, starting school in the fall. What can I say, I'm excited to get the #%*@ out of Maryland.

L of J, I know we are wandering off topic here, but are you living on campus? If so, where did you get placed?

Now, on the fish front, make sure you get a good battery back up for the tank (goes out due to storms) and either find a good RO source or get your own filter, becuase beach water sucks.

I am living off campus (no room for a 90 in dorm lol). I have an RODI uniit but will need to pick up a batery backup...

Looks like I'll just have to open up my own fish store, or do some driving.

I live in Wilmington.
We have Pets Plus which has minor things like a few fish now and then,
There is one LFS here but...

The fish cave in jacksonville is good....but go on fri or sat morn when the shipments come in otherwise things go fast.

not much in wilmington itself...pets plus or petco or tropical paridise.

if you dont mind a hour and fourty minute drive the raleigh area has some great stores.

Trpoical Paradise. It used to be the place to go in Wilmington when I was there, but like some others here have mentioned, a trip up I-40 was worth it sometimes.
