Looking for LFS

I have to agree, I would think they would have to do a markup in order to stay afloat. If not then the death of one expensive fish can really hurt the business. And Im sure that fish die in these stores from time to time

I havent had a problem at Big Al's, their stock is usually pretty healthy and the people in the marine stock at least the few I deal with usually have some knowledge and are willing to help me, I dont care where I go I still quarantine for a day or two at least.

I have been to many a mom and pop shop, and stood there for 30 min waiting for someone to even say hello, that includes some that are on this list. I remember going to one, and I was planing on spending roughly 500 bucks on supplies, and no one said anything to me.....i walked out....and went to Big Al's within 5 min of stading infront of the counter I had two guys searching the back for a UV sterilizer.....and some other stuff.....on hardware and CERTAIN livestock they are hard to beat...however im still looking for a LFS home...

I have yet to find a store in south florida with the SPS selection and colony size of Big Als; anyone care to counter? I'd love to know of better! trust me!

Reefs edge may have nice corals but they are crooks , imo. They basically stole $75 from me and refused to make the situation right. After completely giving me the shaft numerous times, the owner wouldn't even give a discount on his inflated coral prices to make up for their incredibly bad customer service!!!
Exotic aquatic has about the same selection and they won't screw you over in my experience.
Jawz(95 and broward) is also very good now.
