you have the option 2 36 inch fixtures for t5

Ya, I've done some more research since I posted this thread. Now I'm not sure what I want to do over my 125. I'm thinking VHOs or T5s. Don't have a canopy at the moment so I would have to do something about that if I got a retro.

Any suggestions?

the cheapest would be

vhos but bulbs go so fast 6-10 months
mh 175w SE 3 of them 1 for every 2 feet
t5s the most expensive

Will the tank lighting look alright with MHs only and no actinics?

Also a little worried about the heat put out by the Mhs.
