I've been out of the hobby for about 5 yrs since we moved to Alabama. We had a 120 reef tank for about 6 yrs when we was in Northwest Ohio with many friends also in to reef tanks. There was always a frag swap or something going on. Even if it was a bunch of us just getting together. I recently set up a 150 about a month ago. Obviously still just rock at this time but I miss the comrodery of being around people that enjoy this wonderful hobby as much as I do. So I guess I'm looking for people in the Montgomery area. our tanks are more enjoyable when we can share them and our experience with them.

Welcome to Alabama and the Alabama Reef Addicts!
If you PM me, I can set you up with Corey Dole, one of our organizers for south Alabama.
Go ahead and post pictures and a summary of your tanks so we can get to know you!

Yeah there is very few options around I've noticed. I'll post a few pics of my tank in a few not much to see at the moment lol

I bought some green star polyps from my lfs several months back. It was covering a rock about the size of my fist. So I put it next to my overflow box and it quickly jumped on and started growing on it. I sold the original GSP back to the lfs and I now have my overflow box mostly covered with GSP. It's so pretty, especially flowing in the current!

I know.
I'm growing some zoas out now, in a Zoa garden.
I don't plan of fragging them, but if they get too much, I'll prob just end up giving them away.
i got some nice zoas too.
Utter Chaos Zoas, some crazy pink paly's, and my favorite "Orange Monsters"
I don't have pictures, but I'll get em on here eventually

I'm also doing an Acan garden.
The same idea as the zoa garden, but with acans. All on a rock.
Eventually they would morph into each other.
That's when things get awesome. :)
