Looking for macro algae! Buy/trade.

I'm looking for different kinds of macro algae for my mantis tank. I don't want Caulerpa, Chaeto, or Grape algaes.
I won't give you more than $10-$15, depending on quantity- sorry. I have some Caulerpa Mexicana and Caulerpa Prolifera that I'll trade. I know it's cringe-worthy in some cases, but I have the stuff in three tanks and I've not had any problems with them taking over. It doesn't grow as fast as the short leaved Caulerpa, but it does grow faster than others. Then again, I keep it in the sand bed. I also have some little Kenya trees ( don't laugh! ) that you can have.
Anyways, if you're in the need to prune macro, and aren't looking to make major bucks off it, please let me know. And sorry if I sound stiff. Being a student, it's rather hard to make lovely tanks nowadays.

....Maybe.... :D She was there for a dang long time... I figured, if I had time to set up a tank, and take my time in doing so, and she was still there when I was done.. then it was just meant to be. I picked her up in summer I think. :bounce2:
Day I got her-

She nearly made me stroke out the first two months I had her. She sifted literally every square inch of sand in that tank... I had a 10" mound in the back, and no sand in any of the corners. Then I had a 5" pile in the front center, then she smoothed it all out... Then she removed all the sand out from around the scape. Thankfully, I put the rocks on the glass, and glued that stuff down!
The monster buried all of my hermits alive.
....Got me talking now.

I saw that you post in the mantis forum. I originally got her from a guy there!

When Jake and I got back from Brazil in May, we decided to set up a tank for her because she was still at CR. We took too long and finally got it set up, then went to get her and she had sold! hah hah. I'm really glad she went to someone who loves her.

She's a special little girl!

Not to hijack this thread or anything but I had 2 Mantis in a macro tank. They're neat little critters! Mel, you prob remember them.

Oh cute! They aren't both still in there are they? I do remember them.

Did one kill the other one? They don't play well with others.

No, I don't have any salt tanks right now. School, work, a pig, rats, etc keep me busy enough. haha. One killed the other and they did breed. None of the fry survived though. I havent read of any succesful attempts to raise them. They just looked like leeeeeetle bitty pulsing things.

No macro, but I do have some turf algae I am about to pull off and toss. Grows like thick grass close to the rock and clings tightly. Yours for free, but may need to wait for January to get it unless you are in the Aquatic Marine neck of the woods in the next 2 days.

Thanks a lot, but I'm going to decline. It looks like too much for me to handle... I'm battling hair algae in there, and I know that it gets me going.

Steph, what you need are some of the cooler red macro algaes (just not red bubble algae). There's a woman here in town that sells it. I can't remember her RC nickname.

Ding dang...I'll think of it though.
