looking for mh lights

I am looking for lights to add to my current lighting system. 150watt fixtures or clamp on lights. Thanks for any help with this search. Jason

I personally like the Oceanlight by Aqua Medic. But, unless it's for a small tank, I wouldn't even recommend using a 150W Metal halide. A small t5HO fixture can put out as much or more light for cheaper and produce less heat.
What size tank are you putting it on? What do you have currently? You could up it to 250W without a huge price increase, but 100W more will add more heat. Not sure if that's a big issue or not.

I have about 360 watts over a 100gal. What I am using are T5's. I fiqured in order to do more stony corals I needed more light.As of now I have a gonapora,frog spawn and a few torch corals and of corse several softies. So what do you think so far? everything is growing and doing great, I just thought I may need to intesify my lighting. Thanks Jason

Hmmm... what are the dimensions of the tank and wattage of the bulbs?
When I had my 65 set up, I was running 4x 39W overdriven for about 220W total. I didn't have any problems keep SPS all the was on the bottom.

the tank is 72Lx18Wx18deep. I have 2 x 36" fixtures and 1 48" fixture. All together they come up to 360watts with 4 lunar lights for night time. So far everything seems good, no heating problems and all corals seem to always open just fine. Maybe I have enough light, but I had thought of taking the 48" out of the hood and moving it to my 75gal. In doing that I wanted to add mh lights to replace what I remove. As far as each wattage there is I think 4 at 96w. Jason
