I'm just looking for more information about Long tentacle anemones and their behavior, signs of good health, signs of bad health, signs of when to treat them?

I know they like to be in the sand. But do they prefer a spot in open sand or at the base of a rock? They can't or don't walk around, correct? They just let the current move them if they are not happy? Do they deflate often? Or is deflating a sign of problems like Gigs? What about open mouth? If you see signed of deflating or open mouth should you treat these anemones?

If I could get more information from you guys I would really appreciate it.

I've had a number of LTA's(doreensis) over the years, longest one kept was 5 and half years.
They are different than all nems I have kept, but I guess most similar to Malu.
I've become pretty good at guessing where they want to be, sand bed at least 3-4", and best is by a ledge at base of rock so they can pull in or out of light as needed, because they do seem fussy on that.
Moderate to strong light depending on tank depth, moderate flow.
Yes, they can walk, or if really unhappy release and float around.
They are sensitive, just having my hand near or a dropping snail landing on or near may make them completely submerge under sand, and in rare occasions I have had them hidden there a couple days, making me wonder if they were even still alive or what.
They sometimes ball up at night.
They don't seem to wander once they have found their happy place.
I have never had issues w/ any needing any sort of treatment like mags or gigs, not sure if that is luck or if they are more resistant.
I would avoid these super bright multi colored eastery looking blue/green/purple things I see a lot of lately, they never seem to do well.
That's my input on them
