Some differences I've noticed:
A quality company standing behind a quality product (2 year warranty against leaking and cracking)
Coralife Lighting
The filtration seems to be set up better (it has 2 intakes-instead of the top, it has top and bottom)
The whole top lid fits better and looks much nicer
The top lid isn't held up by little toothpick legs (it has a nice hinge that holds it at a 90 degree angle with the tank so you can really work without it being in the way)
2 extra gallons (doesn't matter that much though)
Well designed drip tray
And overall I think this thing makes the JBJ look like a toy, it has a much more streamline fit that just outdoes the JBJ IMO.
Here's some more pics of it with all my fish and corals in it.
Ummm I got the 14 for 160.00 which is a really good deal. I know he has the 29 gallon system as well which looks REAL cool. I would have bought that if I wasn't buying the tank to bring down to school with me. I'm sure he can get ahold of the 8 gallon tanks as well. Give him a call, his name is Joe, he's a real nice guy the website should have a number its www.marinesolutionsinc.com
still resembles my jbj deluxe alot which also has the dual imputs.
only thing that looks to be different is the "toothpick legs" and probably the warranty but im not sure of the jbj warranty.
Umm I wasn't trying to dog you in anyway if you own a JBJ I just think their products are cheap and I wanted to inform everyone that this tank seems nicer to me. The lights are similar to the JBJ in that they have 48 watts, however they are coralife brand so I trust that more.
