i am looking for a pair or a single onyx or a tuxedo clown. does anyone know of a good place to find these? any info. would be appreciated

emb,
If I'm not mistaken I think he is reffering to an ONYX, however on the dorsal and tailfin it has an orange dot(acting as the cuflings of the tux). The orange dots are the only orange on the entire fish when classifing them as a tuxedoperc. I know of one thats for sale if ur interested guys...however hes askin 300 for it. The cool part about him however is that the tuxedo onyx is only an inch as of now.....By far one of the more beautiful clowns I've ran into.... Oh yeah, also the orange dots as well as the eyes are almost glowing, much brighter than anyclown I've seen before....and the fish was only under pcs.... But I hope that explains it a lil better. I'll get pics up on here for ya guys...

bones you are right. i saw a tuxedo clown at a lfs and it was awesome. it looks similar to an onyx buy more vivid. the one i saw was not for sale and was told that it is 1 in 3000. if it was for sale he said it would be around $300. i was hoping i could find one cheaper but it sounds like that is the going rate.

bones, please place it on hold until i get a pic of it if possible.

its the price of a couple dinners i can skip lol

I have seen this Tuxedo clown. It is really awesome looking but $300 is way expensive.

From what I can tell, and I have not seen Rod's Onyx in person, but I think there the same thing.

What makes them Tuxedo is the orange spot in the middle of the fins.

This shop calls Black Ocellaris, "chocolate" and they have a pair of Perks they call "sultan" I belive.

this is your first post and you seem to know alot about clowns.

for some reason. it seems like a marketing scheme from this lfs or its employees. it seems they are trying to make up names to try to trick there customers in thinking they are buying something special, when in reality they are not.

if you guys want to contact them and find out please do. they are tropicorium from south east MI. The fish that this guy has listed as tuxedo is different than the one which Roy from the store emailed me. So one of them is photoshoped...sorry if neone felt mis-led. I saw this clown about 3months back in person and was impressed, but not when he told me that it was 300.

I wouldn't call it a scheme, Roy seems to really know and really love clowns.

The tuxedo clown is not really listed as for sale, I just asked about it because it looks so great. I was told that it wasn't really for sale but someone offered him $300 for it and he said ok, but the guy didn't come through.

The way he explained it was that out of all the hundreds of perk clowns coming through his shop in many years, only 3 had the "Tuxedo" markings.

"Tuxedo" meaning what we call "oynx" is the way I took it.

I think he just doesn't know that guys like Rod and others are breeding perks with these rare naturaly genitic "Onyx" markings.
