looking for opinions on my tank and lighting

I plan on doing a reef setup eventually but i want to wait at least a 6 months for the tank to age. I just took the glass covers off lol.

I have to agree it looks nice.

What are your plans? Fish? Types of coral?

Also just a bit of warning the hydrometer's are very inaccurate so you'll want to make sure you have a refractometer later on.

I would invest in correct reflectors. Ice cap reflectors arent that much and will push alot more light. I tried to do the same thing and bent and polished aluminum and I had horrible par as the light was bouncing around the reflector and spreading to wide. You will be fine for Fish Only but if your going reef your def going to need some good t5 reflectors.

Any plans for a skimmer in the future, maybe a sump?

Welcome, there are a few PMASI club members around the Cranberry Twp area that can help you (including myself) acquire corals when you are ready.

I would use a quantum meter to test the PAR projected from your light setup. This will enable you to determine what type of corals to place in your aquarium.
