Looking for RO/DI specialist

I'm tired of troubleshooting.

Brand new MaxCap 2:1 Manual Flush 90-GPD RO/DI and Booster Pump Kit for SpectraPure.

Pump does not turn on unless I bypass the pressure switch. When bypassed, pump turns on but the pressure is the same as turned off which is around 20psi.

Will pay someone to come and get this fixed. Santa Clarita area. PM me. Thanks.

I have the SpectraPure® 180GPD CSPDI RO/DI System w/ Manual Membrane Flush. I use the Smart Buddie Booster pump, not the booster kit you have so the installation comparison won't be identical. I believe that the booster kit you have is designed to automatically back flush the RO membrane each time it starts. The back flush takes a minute or two. When back flushing the pressure will be very low (20psi on my setup) until the direction is reversed and then it goes up. Have you run your set up long enough to flush and then operate normally?

I will try it now and let it run for a few minutes. I usually turn it off within a minute when I don't see the pressure go up bypassed or the pump to turn when not bypassed.

I let it run for almost 5 minutes, did not change. Tried flushing for 30 seconds and that did not work either.

I turn this valve to flush the membrane.

Are you running the system with your DI in the 2 chambers to the right? Or running empty?

I had some questions setting up my RODI, I have the same unit as you, and called spectrapure directly. 480.894.6109

They ended up walking me through what I needed to do and helped me troubleshoot. Customer service guy is a bit arrogant and condescending but he knows his stuff at least lol.

The DI chambers are empty now. I was told to let it run like that for one hour.

I emailed tech support and Scott just responded back. Let's see how it goes.

We have pressure!!!!

One small, yet absolutely important piece. The Flow Restrictor. It was originally connected to the ASO which needs to connect to the pressure switch.
