Looking for some quarantine tanks

After moving my fish from my 90 to 125 it appears I have had ich in my system without knowing it... months ago I thought I saw it pop up but wrote it off because I never saw it again. Stupid I know. Kole tang and foxface have a few spots on fins and body. Must have stressed them out enough for the parasite to attack.

Would like to do TTM since I have a melaurus wrasse who won't do well in copper. I have 6 fish total. If anyone has some tanks and heaters there not using, willing to sell, loan, donate anything would help. I plan on leaving DT empty for 6 weeks. Wish Petco had the $1 per gallon sale I would just pick up a couple 40 breeders!!

are you sure are you sure they are not having their dollar a gallon sale right now? If you want to make sure that your tank is totally ich free, you'll have to leave it empty of all fish for 76 days

I looked on the local ad didn't see it. I saw most suggest 5-8 weeks. I was planning on 6-7 weeks.

There is a thread on here somewhere that goes into great detail about ich. Tank needs to be fish free for 76 days. AND, just as importantly, anything going into your tank (fish, corals, inverts, macro algae, love or wet rock) has to go through the same 76 day period iirc.

What if you copper dose for new incomers after I go though this? I would be doing cupramine in the first place if I didn't have the wrasse. Surely since you would be killing the ich you don't need to wait that long?

I saw a few posts about 76 days but thought I saw 99.9% of the time 5-6 weeks was sufficient.

I honestly do not know I honestly do not know the answer to that. It may work for the fish. I'm sure if you look on the thread they probably have an answer for that. But you cannot dos the copper for any of your inverts or your rock. Or your macroalgae for that matter. I'm pretty sure the residuals would kill your inverts and your corals.
trust me, I do not trust me, I do not want to steer you wrong. But I would hate to see you go through all this trouble and reintroduce it in some way
