First of all I wish I could have come to the club meeting at AM. I have been wanting to join the club for the last 3 months but never could make it to the meetings. Had it planned for Saturday.....and yes something got in the way again.....oh well.....maybe next month. If any of you happen to have a 48 in T5HO & MH or just a 6 bulb T5 HO lamp that you would like to part with , please let me know. I have a 75 gal that I am cycling and still need a lamp and for that matter a skimmer as well. Would be interested in a Octopus skimmer. I do have 2 36in T5 HO four bulb lamps that I would be willing to trade.....or I will buy what you have. Thanks and I hope to meet everyone at the next meeting!!:)

Well, I did not say that I wanted to sell........and just disregard the trade thing. I said that I would also just BUY a light fixture if anybody had one for sale!! Now, is this against the rules ?? Please let me know as I am soooooo new to this .

No I don't think asking on the local forum if someone local has lights for sale. Although they are a bit particular about enforcing the rules on this forum.

Asking to buy is not against the rules as written, so I *THINK* you are good. Sorry, but no T5s in my storage locker -- just a few PC ballasts and a single bulb that survived "The Flood Incident". :worried2:

In case Joel can't help you out and you can't find anything local...

This is where I bought my last bulbs and they package/ship better than ANYONE I have ever seen. Their selection is fantastic, they even have the new purple bulbs people are trying out. Pricing seems reasonable as well.

If you are only cycling a tank I have a Coralife 2 x T5NO fixture for freshwater (1 pinkish bulb & 1 white) that you could borrow until you get your long term solution in place.
