Looking for Yuma

:lol:

FWIW Nice tank raised yuma are pretty hard to find and when you find them they are very expensive......$70 - $150 a polyp IME.

R. florida are much cheaper but the colorfull ones are also fairly expensive IMO.

as far as i know...........

The difference is "Location, Location, Location"

Florida = Caribbean
Yuma = Pacific

It has to do with the bumps around the mouth (or lack thereof), as I underastand it. R. yuma's have bumps immediately around the mouth and R. florida's, don't.

Copied and pasted -

Ricordea yuma originate in the Indo-Pacific region. Ricordea yuma is typically larger than its cousin Ricordea florida. Typical Ricordea yuma appear in greens and oranges of various intensities. Rare specimens of the coral may be deep red and/or hot pink. The spirocysts on Ricordia yuma appear to vary, in size, shape and density from Ricordea florida. Another noted difference between Ricordea yuma and Ricordea florida are disk colorations. Ricordea yuma shows only some minor variation in disk color while Ricordea can have 6 or more colors.

There are plenty of wild ones around (Yuma), but the success rate on those is pretty poor. BTW, they're quite easy to tell apart once you've seen a few.
