Hello,
I'm new the the saltwater hobby. Always had freshwater. Started a 55 about 2 months ago. I'm looking for a couple of items. I'm a college student on a college budget but want to do things right, so if anyone has any of these used and could gimmie a fair price i would be interested.

Lighting for 55g tank. Was looking at MH just because i know if
I got those i would be set forever.
would even consider vho's or T-5's

If anyone has any opinion on these please
help

small tank. preferably a 29 or 30 to use as a sump-a- fuge

Some live rock couple more pieces

some live sand to seed my dead sand

coral if anyone has some easy stuff to keep like
shrooms or zoa's cuz i wanna start off and
see if I could actually keep coral.

welcome to the salt side. If ur not careful u might spend ur tuition money. I had to pimp my roommate to feed my addiction! JJ. I have an icecap 660 for 50 bucs that would run enough t'5s or vhos for ur 55. I also have an over flow box if u need it.

i have some green star polyps you can have. they grow like weeds, very easy to keep. let me know if you want them. off topic-i see by your name you may be into birds? i have an unopened 40lb bag of roudybush if you want for a few bucks. also have a really nice bird cage if you need one.

i dont even know what roudybrush is...my uncle has a blue and gold macaw up in chicago and i love the bird. but i aint about to spend 1000+ on a bird just cuz it could talk...plus where i live im not allowed to have them...im not even aloud to have a fish tank above 10 gallons...lol

orb- my neighbor back at home actually have me an overflow so i think im good there...but i would deff be interested in the star polyps. they're easy to keep right?

bluefintuna- on that ballast does it have the wiring or end caps. if not thats fine...im still looking to see if i could get a nice used metal hallide cuz i know if i got that it would be a key piece in the puzzle. but if i can't find one i would deff be interested in the vho ballast!
