thanks but i am looking to buy one, i do alot of drilling because i can never make up my mind so this is the only size i need to get some extra drains drilled,besides the tank is in use and i wanted to drill here

I've been using a 2.25" one for a week and about 20 Holes with no problems.....

If you are intending to go into business get the $26.00 one but the cheapies are good for at least 10 holes IME...

I bought mine from that same guy for 10.00 with shipping a couple months ago and I have drilled 4 holes no porblem. IMHO great bit at a great price.

I just bought a 1 3/4 one. Has anyone ever drilled one of the 29g from Wal-mart What about one of the tens? I know the bottoms are tempered but the sides?

10 gallon tanks are really hard because the glass is so thin.

29g are no issue the tens could be,i have drilled them but it takes a bit more patience since the glass is thinner and any real pressure and it just breaks

every AGA 10 gallon that I have drilled (some with 3" holes) have been fine. Close to every Top fin or other cheap 10 gallon that I have drilled has broke. . I have never broken anything larger than a 10 unless they were tempered tanks.

I came across a tempered 29 yesterday.. Classic blowout the instant I started drilling... Little cubes of glass everywhere... Had my hand on it to stabilize too. Scared the skimmate out of me.
