Looking to get into snorkleling or scuba diving in NC/SC....

I live in Kannapolis, NC 30 mins from Charlotte but looking to get into diving off the NC/SC coast and wondering where are the best places to do it at? If there is anyone on here that dives in North or South Carolina let me know about some info on diving here! Thanks!!

I am headed to the Outer Banks in June for some wreck diving.

NC is a great place for wreck diving. I heard that water condition can be a bit rough and the long boat ride on rough water can make just about anyone seasick. It is one of the reasons I opted not to dive there.

Neither state is great for snorkelling due to turbulent sandy near shore environment. If you are comfortable with medium to low cisibility you can snorkel on the sound side of the islands
