i would like any advise possible to get into this

the tank is a 24 gal nano that has been set up for about 9 months it has about 40lbs of live rock in it now. im also lookin to build a mine fug to help with the shs.

what am i getting into plz help???

9 months of cycling with live rock is a great start!

What else do you have in your tank as far as...
filtration?
lighting?
circulation?
substrate?
livestock?

A refugium is a good idea, I personally recommend as large as you have room for with a minimum volume of 1/2 the main tank. Light it well and off-cycle to the main tank, add a DSB, some LR and some macro algae and keep fish/corals/crabs and shrimp (debatable but my vote is out) out of fuge and enjoy.

I think you are getting into something that will always keep you learning, make you feel wonderful, always keep you on your toes and make you crazy :)

the tank is a 24 gal aqua pod, the light is a sunpod 70w mh with leds, there are two power heads in the tank now i was thinking i have to remove one or get a smaller one, i have one rock with some plants growing on it but am looking for more not sure what to get??? there are no other fish in the tank.

this tank has been up and running with two clowns for about 9 months up untill about a week ago when i got a much larger tank. Now that i have given the nano to my girl friend we are thinking about making it a sea horse tank but we dont no anything about them.

Not really sure something tank raised I found some black and yellow ones today. What type can I keep in a 24 gal tank and how many can I keep?

Erectus are really hardy and raised right here. You could talk to him and see if he has any its Walken1 on the FRAG forum.
I have both Erectus and Reidi that are Captive Bred. My Reidi's aren't near sellable yet.

I second the comment on the erectus, I have found them to be more forgiving than some of the others. It sounds like your setup is good, I would go with the fuge though...

the fuge is in planning slowly but im seeing what i can work out with that.
now with the erectus shs what am i looking into for care?

Lots of hitches. Medium to low flow. Keeping the temp down. They eat Hykari Mysis frozen foods.
Have fun watching them.

Just keep your water perimeters good. They should have less problems by doing this. Sometimes you run into problems and type HELP and everyone will help you out.

If its a male they could need a pouch evac. Just watch their skin and tail for coloration or peeling off. Watch their breathing. Sometimes they might get snout rot. Everytime you feed them make sure they eat and check them over. Have a ten gallon tank and airstones ready on hand for a med tank if needed.
I have a call out to Walken1 to see if he has any available right now.
