Looking to switch to gyre

Ive been looking at these things for a while. I love to hear that everyone that talks about them has too much flow. lol In my 300DD thats just what I want. I currently have two MP40esw and there ok, but now that I'm starting the finish cabinets around it I want to replace them with these gyre.

So, I wanted to see what everyone here thinks of them, and if anyone is interested in purchasing my MP-40s if I go that route.

I have a 90 that i am running an xf150 in at 60% on 6 sec pulse pretty much only flow in my tank works great. I was running 2 rw15's, 1 seio superflow 1500 and a koralia 1500 removed all

I have the XF-150 in my 210 and it does move a lot of water...I still run my MP40's as well (there shall be no dead spots in my tank)...

I think MaxSpect will be coming out with a bigger version than the 150 in a few months...with a 300 you may want to wait for that...

You will probably need two of the xf150 units for a 300dd, better off waiting for the xf170 due out in the spring of 2015.

Yeah, I was wondering that. The 150 is surprisingly small and for that reason I was intrigued. But on my limited budget I need to sell to buy so I want to make sure its worth the money before jumping in.

I have a xf150 on my 270 gallon tank. I think its the best powerhead I've used. I had 2 Tunze streams and 1 MP40esw. Now it's just one xf150. I got it on launch, I've had no problems at all with it. I run it at 40% and it's a lot of flow. I think it would be fine in your tank.
