Looking to trade a sun coral...

Bought this 2 weeks ago from G at ABC and ive been keeping a good eye on it during the day and at night and I just can't get the thing to open. It was open the first few days... And i havent seen it open since. There are a ton of heads on it (probably 20 or so and opened up its probably golf ball sized.

Anyone willing to trade me any other corals for it? Looking for nice colored acans, etc. Not ready for SPS yet.

I could guide you through getting it healthy, but it takes some work and patience on your part. Let me know. The fact is, they become used to feedings at a certain time and will respond, but if you expect it to be open all day, you'll be disappointed.

Not necessarily true. For a period I had about 5 in my tank. 4 were extended the vast majority of the time. I found they required daily feeding to keep them happy though. I broadcast fed the entire tank. Perhaps thats why they stayed open longer than others attest. I suspect my broadcast feed program led to extremely high nutrient levels though...

Extremely funny thing happened last night... no more than a half hour after I put this up, it started opening like crazy. I guess it likes it my tank more than I thought!

Keeping an eye on it for a week or so, if not I'll be over Justin.

They tend to open ap night, but can be " trained" to open by feeding them religiously when the lights are on. They will start to open during light hours.

One of my fav corals i have kept, opened at the same time everyday for about 3 hours or until i feed it. My schudule changed so i couldn't keep a good eye on it and it slowly died.
