Looking to upgrade my skimmer.

I have 180 gallon mixed reef that is not very heavily stocked at the moment. The skimmer that I am running is a aquac ev180 (I am pretty sure is an original) that I run off of my return pump (reeflo baracuda). I think it does a pretty good job but I am sure I could get something to do better. I have been thinking of upgrading to a newer ev180 or an ev240. My Questions are.
What are peoples thoughts on the ev 240 or newer ev180?
What other options are there for skimmers that I could connect the same way to my return pump?

Get a reef octopus 3000 with a bubble blaster 3000 pump.It will be the last skimmer you willneed to buy.

+1. Agree with Rgibson. I have the SRO 3000 on my 210 and it does a great job. You will be happy.

I've was using aquacs for 10 years they are ok but power hogs my buddy has the reef octopus and it is consistently making nice skimmate and uses a fraction of power

I have been considering the reef octopus skimmers they seem to have a good reputation and bang for your buck. My problem is that I am limited on space and I really would like to use my return pump to run it.
