color fading

I have lost some color in almost all my sps. Not bleached but either faded. some have turned brown but all are still growing very well. I think it may be from the biopellets. My bulbs are only a few months old so i don't think its the light and not every sps has faded. My parameters as follows the past 3 nights all done at the same time each day and no change on anything and all looks good.

Cal 440 Salifert
dKH 9 API
PO4 .00 and one reading of .001 Hanna
NO3 0 Salifert
temp 78.5
Salinity 1.025

The only thing I can think of is the bio pellets. I am thinking the pellets are striping the system to clean. Any advice is appreciated. Let me know if you need more info on anything to help me pin point the issue.

Like you said, i think your water is too clean. I'd start overfeeding slowing to try to raise your PO4 and NO3 slightly. Or remove your pellets. I've never run them, but i've hurt a lot of bad things about them in SPS set ups.

I'd +1 that, too little nutrients will starve your corals. Try target feeding heavier with things like phyto, oyster eggs, zoo, cyclopeeze, etc. Also AA's work well in low nutrient systems IME.

Your gotta feed, feed, and feed with bio pellets. I feed all of the above 2 - 3 times per day, and on my days off, sometimes 5x per day in small amounts. Also, you said your lights were a couple months old, I'm assuming new bulbs, this can also be a problem, especially if your old bulbs were over a year old. Both can be a factor, new bulbs, and low nutrients.
