Loss

So I decided to add some more color to my tank a few days ago. I introduced an Anthias to my DT that I purchased from SEA on thursday. All went well except today she was huffing and puffing really hard so I migrated her into the fuge in hopes of her calming down. Well I guess whatever was stressing her out got the best of her. She has passed. Bummer because I think this species adds so much to a reef tank.

Anthias can be pretty finicky. Its usually getting them to eat that I have a problem with though. Sorry for your loss.

She was eating very well and did not have any signs of abuse from the other fish. I was surprised that even my yellow tail damsel wasn't being a brut as he initially was with the other fish. I even introduced her very slowly to prevent a gang up by the others. The wrasse was being a bit inquisitive at first but left her alone after a few fin slaps. Needless to say after the passing I did not want to flush her so my Monty (mantis) had a nice expensive sushi dinner.

I had a similar thing happen a while back. She seemed to be doing fine and then she died out of the blue after just a little over a week.
