Lost a head of acan

Came home from work today and my acan frag lost a head. Any idea what this might be? Does this look like it was picked at? Or is it an infection

Looks like infection from low alk imo. Definitely need to dip it and put it under moderate flow, that white stuff is an infection that will eat it before tomorrow. Smells awful.

i think it got stung by acan enchinata that was right next to it. I've separated it and will see how it goes.

I also dipped it and blew off the whit stuff, there's still a little green flesh and feeder tentacles coming out.

yeah even though they are very similar echinata will sting the hell out of lords. I have found them to be the most aggressive of the acans/micromussa.

+1. Acanthastrea echinata are the most aggressive corals I've ever kept. Between their sweepers and mesentery filaments they will kill anything and everything within reach. They're quite beautiful too!
