i have a mated pair of true percs that i got about 2.5 years ago and today when i came home from work my wife told me that one of them was hiding. i thought this was odd so i got to searching around the tank for the pair and my female was missing. i do not have a sump so i know she is not in the filtration system (looked anyway) .i fed them then i looked under, around, and even inside the stand with no luck . then i started moving some rocks i was only able to move about half of the rocks without destroying my mini-reef. so my question is, does anyone have any ideas where she may be? when clowns breed do the females hide with eggs? oh yeah i tested water and all is good. and all other life in the tank is fine too. thanks for reading and any help would be great.
