Lost my mantis

Man this has been a hard month, last night I came home to find my return pump clogged up, I knew it before I even turned the pump off and watched her little body drift out of the intake pipe.

Somehow she made her way across a couple of compartments and through baffles w/ LR between them. I was/am pretty sad and feel really guilty about it. Another week and her 5g minibow would have been set up. She was a 3" G. chiragra that I had for a couple of months.

Jacob, sorry to hear about that, that really sucks. Are you going to be looking for another to go in the minibow?

Thanks man. I bummed, but yeah I'll be looking around. I'm probably going to have the minibow setup sometime next week or weekend I hope.

Uhmm..I know someone who has 2 smaller mantids...Hmmm..I wonder who.

Yeah you guys are hording all the stomatopods in the valley Well if you ever have an 'extra' let me know.

I'll bug him about it. We have 2 really neat ones, that aren't getting a lot of attention. Anubis, our lovely peacock is Queen, and the other ones are not as interesting to view.

The two that we do have are super tiny, but cute.
