No, they are still there. Different owner though.

Aquatic World was picked up by another owner. I stopped in about a month ago and talked for a while. Good guy; heard him give several different bits of advice to folks with questions and almost all of them did not involve buying something from the store. They still have great tank and stand prices. The tanks and livestock looked better than ever, though still need some work.

The saltwater room was closed, but they still had reef tanks, coral skeletons and the like. The guy who had the place 2 owner's ago, Jim Chapman, runs a custom acrylic shop in the front corner of the store. He also sells the Ocean Treasures line of designer desktop aquariums. I tried to market them online for him and didn't have much luck. There is a limited market for $300 aquariums that only hold 5 gallons and have only 10 watts of lighting. They are pretty, though.

The new owner wants more of a pet store that specializes in fish, rather than the fish-only style before. The store is worth a stop if you are in the area. Prices beat most of the Milwaukee stores. I will like it more if they get the saltwater stuff back.

I had stopped going there becaue of the first owner's attitude. He was such an *** i just wanted to hit him until i got tired sometimes! I may have to stop back out and check it out.
