lots-o-tiny fish?

i just got back in the hobby after a year hiatus.
my other tank was a 150G, so all the other fish i am/was familiar with are not going to work in this one!
any cool, colorful suggestions for a 29G?
it is a mixed reef , and the only other fish are a mated pair of perculas.
as in my Title, i would rather have many small fish , than a couple larger fish if that helps!

You could look at gobys as there are a lot of different types and stay relatively small and fire fish as well are good for small tanks.

how are gobies with other gobies?
looking at a couple green striped. could i also get another type of goby? (maybe 2 neon?)
or perhaps a yellow assesor?
thanks!

I agree!

Have you looked at the "nano fish" section at Liveaquaria? Lots of good candidates there.

However, I would stay away from any of the Trimma species gobies. I have found through many painful losses that these fish are simply not suitable in a tank as "large" as my own 29.

why no "Trimma" gobies? too small?
love the cryptic wrasse! that is one i hadn't seen, i thought i looked through all the fish on LA.
any more "special" ones like that?
thanks!

Yes, and delicate to match. At only 3/4" or so, they are SO easily killed by QT procedure, powerheads, other fish, and who knows what else. I love Trimmas, but IMHO they are pico fish, not nano.

Neons are awesome, especially if you get a pair. Peaceful, colorful, active, fearless, and a cleaner fish to boot. They're among my favorites. Yellow neons from ORA are starting to appear on the scene as well.

Yup. I have two that in a 29 gal. AGA that I did not introduce at the same time. They get along great and often are seen grazing the tank together.
