Love these things - quieting bulkhead slurping

These are one of the easiest ways to quiet a noisy bulkhead. For those new to the hobby please keep in mind that shorter drain lines require more air being sucked in to quiet them. While sometimes we can use 1/8" airline tubing on a draining bulkhead that's 10 feet long with 4 elbows we might have to use 3/16" airline tubing on a drain line that's only 7 feet long with 2 elbows. More water flow because of shorter lines equals more pressure and more air needed.

LOL Nothing special. I just like posting pics like this for the people new to.the board that might not have 15,000 posts. For those that don't know though it's a way to draw air in through that top cap so it quiets the "slurping" noise from the bulkheads.

Or is is something else Im not seeing?

What's on the other side of the bulkhead? I assume some kind of open channel drain, not a siphon...

Uh, well, no. I'm not changing the entire WiFi password of the store, which is 27 digits, to log into the light. The Kessil gets whatever the manual calibration maxed out at.
