Wondering who out their loves their ecotech vectra pump whether it be an M1 or an L1? How old is it, have you had any problems and if you were to do it all over again would you buy a different pump?

L1 user here for about a year and a half. No issues, cleaned once. I run their crate on the intake which catches pieces of trash like chaeto strands. Once it catches enough, flow slows down and I clean it

3 months with my Vectra M1 with zero issues and haven't had to clean yet. Running the M1 at 50% and feeding a bio-pellet reactor and another reactor that has GAC.

M1. No issues. MUCH quieter than the old PanWorld. I run it down at about 30%, no cleanings requiring draining (a snail or debris got into the works and made a hell of a noise against the impeller - the shopvac removed it without having to do any more extensive cleaning).

Compared to the Jebao pumps, the build quality of the motor block is a lot more solid.

Used an M1 for a year, quiet, reliable. Ran a 120 + 40 system in addition to a calcium reactor and a BRS GFO/carbon reactor.

A month ago I noticed that my Apex conductivity readings were ranging between 23 and 25 for no apparent reason. I eventually traced it to the M1. It has been replaced by a Fluval SP6.

(I needed a reliable conductivity reading as a way to fine tune my system's salinity, hence the need for the change)

I considered other DC pumps, but they all seem to be based on the same design so I stayed away for now.

M1 owner. Running it on my 525xl about 4 months. Quiet and no problems so far. Run it at about 40% on my return. Will be getting the battery back up eventually when I have stuff in my tank worth having a back up.

I have a L1 on my Closed Loop...replaced a Pan World 200PS....major difference in noise!
90% quieter and about 80% of the flow.
Only in use for about two months w/o issues.
