Low PH

Greetings,

I am having a problem getting my PH up to a desirable level. I am currently reading 7.75 on my aquacontroller. I just re-calibrated it. The PH is right on the money when I put the probe in the 7 & 10 buffer solution. I tried to "Degas" the tank by opening the doors and windows and opening the canopy and doors on stand for a couple of hours yesterday, but the PH only reached 7.81 and today it is back down again. I am also running a Euroreef 8-2 and the air line to the venturi is pulling in air from outside. My current water parameters are:

*** Calcium 415 ppm.
*** Alkalinity 9.6dkh (3.43 meq).
*** Magnesium Higher than 1622 (I used 32 drops and the chart only goes up to 28 drops which equals 1622.
*** Ammonia and Nitrite 0
*** Nitrate 10

I am lost. Can someone please help? Has anyone had this happen? If so, what did you do?

I would read this article and check the pH meter using this calibration standard. Some commercial standards can be off.

Did you try the aeration test? You could try aerating just a cup of water outside and check the pH change.
