I noticed the salinity of nsw varied within store, and I got some that was 1.029 and was told upon checking it that local natural saltwater can run as high as 1.030 or higher. Is this the case? I've gone back to homemade rodi and tropic marin pro reef.
rain can lower it a lil and also some of the salt water guys go fill up the truck and then have storage tanks on land ( this way they dont need to wait for the next tide to refill the truck)
so you also get a lil evap from teh storage tank
If NSW is not used immediately, it needs to be treated prior to storage otherwise all living things will decompose.
It unfortunate that no store actually does that.
