LPS Death...

My green hammer pulled in about 2 weeks ago and has completely died off. Wouldn't bother me except what ever is wrong seems to be spreading to my wells, peach hammer, and Acan. I have a few frogspawns and some SPS that seem to be unaffected, as well as a carpet anemone.

I feed one or two times a week with reefroids.

Tank parameters are as follows:
Ammonia .1
Nitrite .02
Salinity is 1.025/34
Calcium 520
Alk 12

I am waiting for a friend to come home tonight so i can do my other testing.

Was thinking about dipping the corals again to make sure there is nothing there, but I can't see anything with a visual inspection.

Thanks

I'm sorry to here.
Have you checked for any signs of LPS eating nudi's or maybe a bacterial infection? I would try dipping your LPS in what ever medication you use. I personally dip all my my corals in Revive and it works wonders.
Hope get everything figured out and best of luck.

Mike,

How old is the tank? You shouldn't have ammonia? You are either still cycleing or going through a mini cycle. Do not dose anything! If you are stop!

My tank is online for 20 months now. I have stopped my dosing when i saw the issues. I just re-dipped the corals that were looking odd just to make sure there was nothing in there. My other pieces are looking fine, for now at least.

I am curious to ammonia in your tank at 20 months. I never noticed nitrites in my tank after the cycle either. I run my alk high also and my hammer, frogspawn, golden torch, and duncans are thriving

Hmm? 20 months, Ammonia, is there any fish that hasn't made an appearance lately? The only other things that I can think of that would cause that to happen would be a large new addition, an introduction of antibiotics (perhaps from the LFS or dipping coral), or even intoducing ammonia from an outside source by accident. Let the Alk drop and double check the ammonia. You have something abnormal going on here. Do you have small kids that may accidently introduce something?
