I have several euphilia and lps coral and wondering what I should be feeding each individual and though I try I am not sure if I am doing things correctly to maximize there growth potential.

What I have:
-open brain
-doughnut coral
-frogs pawn
-Hammer coral
-Torch coral
-blastamusoes
-fungia
-candy cane
-ducan

I have been trying to target feed mysis shrimp? But how often and how much

The simplest answer is probably as much as they will eat. No tentacles extended = no need to feed.

I don't target feed any of my lps. I just feed the fish a variety of frozen food so they eat whatever is in the water column.

I only target feed my Duncan as it is the only that seems to respond to it... All others feed from water column...

I dont think you will get much feeding response from your Euphilia.. I know I dont.. And I did a bit of reading around the forums.. it doesnt seem like many others do either.

Doesn't hurt to try though.. I've tried mashed up shrimp pellets and flake to no avail... gonna try some mashed up cocktail shrimp later today before I give up..

My hammer coral won't capture anything actively but if the pumps are off and the brine shrimp is allowed to settle onto the coral, it will open it's mouths and work the food towards the mouth and eat.
My green goniopora on the other hand.....if the food hits the polyp it closes around it. If the food falls in between the stalks, they all collapse onto the food and when they reinflate the food is gone!

i feed my acans and favia mysis 2-3 times per week, i have heard it is possible to overfeed which can be fatal, so i would not feed every day. My acans have there feeders out all day everyday, the favia only puts em out at night, and my frogspawn hasnt taken mysis (but ive tried). i also feed pellets occasionally, and crushed up krill as well. HTH

I have all these corals and have never target fed.

frogspawn
zoas
acans
blastos
scollies
tracky's
mushrooms
multiple leathers
I've had real great growth. All i feed is Kent marine chromamax in the night (every other day) and when i'm feeding my fish, i use the freeze dried mysis & plankton and get it soaked to squeeze all the juices in the water column.................... thats all i do about 5-6 times per day for my corals. I actually feed my fish about 10-15 times per day. My skimmer works overtime when i feed

How do you have time to feed 10-15 times per day?!

LOL.
Mainly on weekend every time i pass the tank they always follow me so i give them. During the wk, they get food in the morning and when i come from work i constantly feed them till 10:30pm. You see my blue LED's come on at 7:00am-10:30pm and the 8 T5's (39W) @ 12,000K comes on at 12noon (every day it rotates) and off at 9:30PM. So i get to feed and also get to enjoy my tank to the fullest. Its already 11:05 am in Trinidad and they have gotten fed 4 times already. Its only when i'm away working they get fed about 2-3 times by my wife. Tomorrow is going to make it 1yr that my reef tank is up and running.

As i said, Ive never target fed my frogspawn. When i bought it about 8 mths ago, it had only 3 small heads and i had major problems trying to find the right lighting for it. it took about 3-4mths for me to find a spot and it started to grow. By then it only had 4 heads now....................... 2 wks ago, its 21 heads.
