LPS feeding questions

Ok, so acans no problem, feed easily, grasping tentacles come out at night, ditto with favia/favites, trumpet, etc.

Now my question comes to other corals, and what to feed specifically.

Blastomussa Merletti, no feeding tentacles noticed at any time, do they simply live off suspended matter? They seem to be growing fine.

Blastomussa Wellsi, these are guys I'd love to target feed more, however I never notice feeding tentacles, nor do they really hold onto mysis when I spot feed everything else. Perhaps a smaller food?

Chalices, I see long sweepers, however don't see where a mouth should be, or if they are very large at all, they occasionally will grab mysis or arctipods however I don't know if they're actually eatting it, or if this is simply a response to the sweepers stinging the food or what I don't know.

Leptastrea: Ok these guys are really small, and at night there seems to be a "fuzz" around them, I'm guessing this is feeding tentacles similar to other LPS, however I'm guessing mysis is a bit too big for them, are arctipods better suited? Rotifers?

Bottom line: The algae that live within corals convert the light to energy through photosynthesis. Feeding meaty foods is purely a bonus and not necessary at all if you so choose.

Other than that, if the feeders don't come out at night, or can't be coaxed out once food is present in the water, I wouldn't waste my time trying to force feed them. Just going to pollute the water.

When I put my hand in my tank, just the oils from my skin sets off my open brain. It will extend feeders at any time.

I have 3 acan lords right now. They're all in the same spot. One never puts feeders out. One moderately does. The other fully extends them on a regular basis. Can't figure it out but I don't worry about it.

ok blastos are extremely easy to feed also, you see the feeder tenticles all the time you just dont relize it all the little like spikes or points on the blastos are its tenticles all you have to do is spot feed them mysis or brine they love both, just fill a turkey baster with some food let it settle towards the tip then just over the blasto polyps sqeeze lightly and wallay as soon as the food hits the polyps it will start to close around the food and move it towards its mouth then the mouth will just open and expand around the food and suck it in this takes a decent amount of time just like acans and micros. my watermellon chalice puts short stubby feeders out during the day sometimes and i just do that same thing with the turkey baster and it will also grab the food and pull it towards the mouth. they also love to eat ;) i dont know about the lepastrea though, but if anyone knows about a short tenticled litho? let me know also make sure your shrimp or fish dont pick off the food as your slow eating corals are trying to pull their food in , this is my biggest problem

The whole mysis is a little big for my blasto merletti, but it tries to cope:

Anything small enough to fit the mouth will be good. You can use pipette ot tweesers to drop food onto the polyps. Mine also likes the light.
