LPS Growout tank lighting

I am setting up a Rubbermaid 50 gallon tup for growing out my acans and echinos. I have everything planned out but I am stuggling with the lighting. From what I have read here T5s seem to be the way to go. So I was considering a 4 bulb 48" fixture. On the other hand I've been a long term halide guy so my gut tells me to go with a Lumeniarc and a Reeflux 10k 175watt bulb on a Lumetek or Icecap ballast.

I am not so concerned about viewing. I just want good growout and colors.

BTW please keep in mind that a 50 gallon rubbermaid is shallow.

i would go t5s all 10ks. im sure you can get good growth. and if you dont care about viewing, the yellowness wont bother you. i say t5s only because it will save money on electrical costs. and if its that shallow, halides will be overkill

I forgot....You can remove electric cost from the equation. I have Municipal electric and pay nex to nother for it....I think its .03 per KWH...

As long as its not to much for the acans thats what i would like to do. One light bulb is better than four in my mind.
