So a bunch of years ago I got a Devil's Hand coral from a Columbus member. I noticed it had some sort of something on it, but it looked like a sponge at the time and so I left it alone....A year or so later the Devil's Hand melted into the brown goo that sometimes claim softies, and I noticed that the thing I had thought was a sponge was actually some sort of something else.
It wasn't hurting anything, so I just left it alone, and it's quadrupled in size. I'm 99% sure it's some sort of LPS....it's all sorts of slimy/squishy when you touch it, but it seems to have a skeleton. It sort of reminds me of candy cane w/out the stalks.
I'm looking to get an ID because I'm moving my tank to be a seahorse tank, and I need to research if it should stay or go.
It almost looks like a really boring acan....but it doesn't feel like one to the touch.
Any ideas?
